Q) Isn’t great beer best enjoyed with delicious food?
A) Absolutely. That’s why all of the restaurants where we will enjoy dinner are part of the Vermont Fresh Network, an organization “dedicated to farmers, food producers, and chefs to support Vermont agriculture and bring fresh, flavorful, high-quality food to all Vermonters and our guests”.
Q) I’m a vegetarian who is allergic to asparagus – will I have anything to eat?
A) The restaurants that we work with are very accommodating of all diets. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions you have when you register.
Q) How many people will take part in this event?
A) In order to provide the best experience for everyone (participants, breweries, restaurants, etc.) we generally limit each trip to 12 participants. We believe that a small group allows for an in-depth experience that you don’t get when you are part of a herd.
Q) Where did the idea for the Vermont Bike and Brewery Challenge come from?
A) The good people at the Vermont Brewers Association have been promoting the "Vermont Brewery Challenge" for years. To improve upon this noble idea we designed a trip that hits as many breweries as possible in six days, all under our own power.

Q) How hard is the Vermont Bike and Brewery Challenge?
A) Our standard six-day trip is rated “doable”. There are some climbs, but we have witnessed many people successfully tackling climbs bigger than they’d ever done before. We recommend doing a fair amount of riding before the trip, including hills if you can find them near you. That being said, all custom itineraries can be modified to match your desired level of challenge. The important thing is that you're having fun. Q) I’m only 19 years old, but I’m from Quebec where the drinking age is 18. I can take part in the Challenge, oui?
A) Non. The drinking age in Vermont is 21 and we require that all participants have turned 21 by the first day of their trip.
Q) Can I bring my own bike?
A) Sure thing. If you are flying to Vermont and want to avoid exorbitant cost for checking your bike, you may want to look into shipping it through a company like bikeflights.com. Give us a ring and we’ll tell you the best way to send it.
Q) What if it rains?
A) It never rains on the Vermont Bike and Brewery Challenge. Sound good? OK, the possibility exists that we’ll be incorrect. The Wicked Witch notwithstanding, a little rain never hurt anyone. Biking in the rain can be quite pleasant and we can guarantee that it won’t be raining inside the breweries. We’ve also got a van to pick you up if you are too soaked to ride. So, no matter what the weather, the forecast is for good times.
